“Robot” is a word that feels good in the mouth, especially when said slowly.

Fact: In poor lighting, metal trash cans are sometimes mistaken for robots, as are lamp posts, filing cabinets and human beings.

These were Facebook status updates for FaBoStaMe 2009, a new event which Dana invented and coordinated. Each participant agreed to try posting 30 updates in 30 minutes to help kick off NaPoWriMo (though they didn’t have to make their updates resemble poems if they didn’t want to).
