Susan Packard: A Business Executive, Entrepreneur, Author,and Public Speaker Aiming to Change Women Lives Through Mentorship

Afterwards, she joined HBO sales division, before rising the ranks to become regional manager for CNBC. The revered businesswoman ventured into entrepreneurship in 1994, co-founding HGTV(Home and Garden Television). She worked at HGTV as a chief operating officer until the year 2000. Afterwards, she continued to pursue her entrepreneurial passions by launching Scripps network, a cable and digital brand, which has grown in leaps and bounds to become a $7 billion company. Some of the popular and successful brands that are part of the scripps network include Fine Living Network, and the DIY network.

Being a successful woman in corporate America, Susan Packard has also ventured into writing books and public speaking. She aims to teach women how to become successful in their careers, and in entrepreneurship. In 2015, she co-authored a book titled “New Rules of the Game: 10 Strategies for Women in the Workplace”. The intention of the book is to show women how to be creative, focused, competitive and team players. She believes that the biggest undoing for most women at the workplace is attitude, and her aim is to change that. She hopes to inspire women around the world by telling her story, on how she rose the ranks through at some of the biggest cable TV companies in America today. And also how she co-founded several successful media companies, which grew to become huge brands with over a billion dollar valuation . Ultimately, she hopes to inspire women to take up leadership positions in whatever spheres of life they are in.
